SEC. 14. And be it enacted, That all the rights, powers,
grants and privileges hereby conveyed are upon the express
condition that the above mentioned canal shall be completed
in the space of six years.
SEC. 15. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts

of Acts be and the same are hereby repealed so far as the
said Acts or parts of Acts may be inconsistent with this Act.
SEC. 16. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 339.

AN ACT to refund to certain Collectors of State Taxes
herein mentioned moneys erroneously paid by them into
the State Treasury.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

Repeal.

land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon
the Treasurer of this State in favor of the following collec-
tors of State taxes for moneys erroneously paid by them into
the State treasury, the same having received the recommen-
dation of the treasury officials, viz: Wm. T. Fryer, collec-
lector Cecil county for year 1901, twenty-seven dollars and
fifty cents; John E. Davis, collector second district of
Charles county for the year 1902, fourteen dollars and
eighty-three cents; Charles C. Biser, collector Frederick
county for the year 1902, twenty-nine dollars and one cent;
Charles C. Biser, collector Frederick county for the year
1903, two hundred and fifty-one dollars and eighty-five cents;
Mahlon Glotfelty, collector Garrett county for year 1899,
seven hundred dollars and fifty-two cents; Wm. M. Lohr,
collector Garrett county for year 1901, thirty-nine dollars
and twelve cents; Joseph F. Fairbanks, collector fifth district
Talbot county for year 1901, twelve dollars and twenty-six
cents; P. H. Cannon, collector second district Somerset
county for year 1901, twenty-five dollars and seventy-four
cents; A. S. Venables, collector first district Wicomico
county for year 1900, fifty-eight dollars and sixty cents; A.
S. Venables, collector first district Wicomico county for year
1901, one hundred and eleven dollars and forty cents; and
