and to be paid by the warrant of the Comptroller on the
Treasurer upon certificate of the said commission, as directed
by them; and the further sums of thirty thousand dollars
each annually for the fiscal years of 1907 and 1908 be and
the same is hereby appropriated for this purpose.
SEC. 7. And the said commission is hereby authorized

to purchase such machinery, teams, implements and mate-
rials, and employ such assistants as may be necessary to the
proper construction of said road or highway out of the sums
appropriated by Section 6 of this Act, and use the same in
the construction of said road or highway, and after its com-
pletion the same shall be and remain as the property of the
State of Maryland.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 313.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County to build and repair the bridges
in said County and to provide for the issuance of bonds
for the means of making said repairs, and further to
authorize the issuing of other bonds of said County for
the purpose of redeeming and paying off the floating debt
of said County and to place said County upon a cash
basis as to future obligations for the same.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

county be and they are hereby authorized and directed and
are required immediately after the passage of this Act to
cause all bridges over navigable streams in said county
over two hundred feet in length, especially the bridge over
Spa creek and Hills bridge, to be repaired or reconstructed ,
as the case may require, in order to make it, or them, safe
and in good condition for public travel for man and beast.
SEC. I I. And be it enacted, That if not heretofore proper
plans and specifications have been made and submitted to
the said board of County Commissioners as to the required
construction, reconstruction and building of any new bridges
