same, or non compos mentis, or for any other cause, be
legally incapable of contracting, or out of the county in
which such property may lie when the same may be wanted,
said company is authorized and empowered to acquire the
same by condemnation in the manner provided for railroads
under the Public General Laws of this State; provided,
however, that if the same be situate partly in one county and
partly in an adjoining county, the said condemnation pro-
ceedings may be instituted and carried on in either of said
counties with like effect as if the same were wholly situate
in the county wherein said proceedings are begun.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted. That said company may
acquire, own, hold, pledge, sell, endorse, guarantee, assume

or otherwise deal in or dispose of the stocks, bonds, mort-
gages, property or franchises of any corporation or company,
foreign or domestic, heretofore or hereafter formed for the
purpose of generating, in Harford county, electricity or
electrical or other power of any kind in any manner in
either of said counties, or for lighting any locality, town or
city on or near the line of its railways in said counties, in
such manner and to such extent as may now or hereafter be
authorized by law, or may enter into any agreement with
such corporation which may be beneficial to both contracting
parties.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That said company shall
have the power to generate electricity or electrical or other

power of any sort, by any lawful means whatsoever in either
of said counties, and to acquire or transmit the same in any
lawful manner when generated by it or others, and when so
generated, acquired or transmitted by it, to use or apply the
same to any lawful purpose whatsoever other than for rail-
road purposes in either of said counties, and to sell, store or
dispose of the same for use or application by others, in
either of said counties, and to acquire any property neces-
sary or proper for any or all of said purposes in the same
manner as it is authorized under its charter to acquire
property for railroad purposes, but the use of electricity or
electrical power for other than railroad purposes shall be
confined to the limits of either Baltimore or Harford counties.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That said company be
and it is hereby authorized to consolidate with any other
railway or power company heretofore or hereafter organized
