CHAP. 51

WHEREAS, By her last will and testament, dated July 24,
1894, and admitted to probate by the Orphan's Court of Car-
roll County, in February, 1896, she devised her reversionary
interest in said property to the Vestry of Ascension Parish,
of the Protestant Episcopal Church of Westminster, Mary-
land; and
WHEREAS, Since the session of the General Assembly of
Maryland held in the year 1904, the said Order of the Holy
Cross of Westminster, Maryland, has ceased to use said
property for the purpose prescribed by its charter, and has
abandoned and surrendered it to the said Vestry of the
Ascension Parish of Westminster, Maryland, who have
entered thereon and are now in possession thereof; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That the sanction and consent of the said General
Assembly be and the same are hereby given and made to the
gift and devise of one acre, one rood and four perches of
land, situated in Carroll county, Maryland, to the Vestry of
Ascension Parish, of the Protestant Episcopal Church of
Westminster, Maryland, from Lucretia E. Van Bibber,
deceased, made by her last will and testament, dated July
28, 1894, and duly admitted to probate by the Orphans'
Court of Carroll County, and now of record in the office of
the register of wills of said county, in Liber G. N. P. No. 7,
folio 473, etc.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 52.

AN ACT to empower and direct the clerk of the Circuit
Court for Harford County to prepare certain indexes of
records and proceedings in his office and to record certain
proceedings therein, whether at law or in chancery, affect-
ing titles to land, and to empower and direct the County
Commissioners of Harford county to pay therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the clerk of the Circuit Court for Harford County
be and he is hereby empowered and directed to prepare, and
