SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land. That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is

hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon
the treasury of the State, in favor of Joseph Muir, of
Somerset county, for the sum of fifty dollars and sixteen
cents ($50.16), the same being the proportionate part of
said sums so paid as aforesaid by him to cover the respec-
tive periods of said oyster season after said bug-eye was
wrecked and lost as aforesaid, out of any money in the
treasury not otherwise appropriated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 5, 1906.

CHAPTER 255.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claim of
the Gushing Company for stationery furnished the General
Assembly of Maryland for 1904, and State Library from
March, 1904, to June 28, 1905.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury of the State of
Maryland be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
draw his warrant on the State Treasurer, in favor of the
Gushing Company, for the sum of eight hundred and seventy-
four dollars and forty-seven cents, for stationery furnished
the General Assembly of Maryland for 1904, and the State
Library from March, 1904, to June 28, 1905.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 31, 1906.

CHAPTER 256.
AN ACT to provide for the further Publication of the
Archives of Maryland. .

WHEREAS, By Chapter 138 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed at the Session of 1882, the

Warrant to be
Issued.

Maryland Historical Society was appointed custodian of the
records, archives and ancient documents of the Province and
