such clerical services, and the said highway commissioners
shall each of them receive for the performance of the duties
hereby imposed the sum of two hundred dollars per annum,
to be levied and paid by the County Commissioners of
Prince George's county. It shall be the duty of the said
highway commission to meet in the office of the County
Commissioners at Upper Marlboro at least once a month
between the first of April and the first of October in each

year and report to the board, as a board, the work done and
performed and the cost thereof, and the members of said
highway commission shall monthly certify to the County
Commissioners of said county all expenses incurred, material
furnished and work done, and upon such certification said
County Commissioners shall arrange for the payment of all
bills thus duly certified.

by the creation of the highway commission, to meet at least
once every week.
292. It shall be unlawful for any highway commissioner

to cause any public road to be plowed or stirred between the
1st of October and the 1st of April except in case of wash-
out or other emergency, and it shall be the duty of each high-
way commissioner to place gravel or other hard material
upon any public road properly constructed to receive it, at
any time during the year.

with this Act be and the same are hereby repealed, and that
this Act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 250.
AN ACT to authorize the State Board of Education to pay
to John B. McMahan the pension provided for by Section
53 A of Chapter 584 of the Acts of 1904, for teachers who
have served the State for twenty-five years.
