CHAP. 240
Preamble.

officers has been required to expend and pay out of said
regimental fund for the purpose of meeting the actual run-
ning expenses of said armory building because of the insuf-
ficient allowance made therefor out of the general milita fund,
the sum of five thousand, seven hundred and ninety-nine
dollars and forty-nine cents ($5,799.49) up to January first,
nineteen hundred and six, and in order to meet and pay
the actual running expenses of said armory building up to
September thirtieth, nineteen hundred and six, the said board
of officers will have to further pay out of said regimental
fund the sum of about one thousand ($1,000) dollars; there-
fore,

SECTION 1. Be. it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is

hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the
State Treasurer in favor of said board of officers of the Fifth
Regiment Maryland National Guard for the sum of six thous-
and seven hundred and ninety-nine dollars and forty-nine
cents ($6,799.49).

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the appropriation under

CHAPTER 241.

AN ACT to prohibit the sale of spirituous or fermented
liquors or lager beer or intoxicating drinks of any kind at
any place within three miles of the Methodist Ch arch at
Flint Hill, in Urbana District of Frederick County, and
also to prohibit the giving away or distributing of such
spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer or intoxi-
cating drinks of any kind at or near the place of business
of any person within the limits aforesaid.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be unlawful for any person, directly or
