CHAP. 223

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the members of this

Board of direc-

corporation shall, annually, on the first Tuesday of Decem-
ber, or on such other day as may be fixed at a general meet-
ing of such members, elect from its membership, not less
than seven directors, who, together with the president, secre-
tary and treasurer of said association, to be elected by said
seven directors, or a majority thereof, shall constitute the
board of directors of said association, and said board so con-
stituted shall have charge of and manage the affairs of said
association and the election of their successors.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 224.

AN ACT for the better protection of partridges, quail,
pheasants and rabbits in Harford County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

Game law.

land, That no person shall trap, shoot or in any manner
catch or kill or expose for sale or have in possession any
partridge or quail, ruffled grouse, commonly called pheasant,
skunk, squirrel or rabbit within the limits of Harford county
for the period of one year from the date of the passage of
this Act.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That each and every person
violating any of the provisions of the preceding section

shall be subject to arrest by any person authorized by law
to make the same, or upon a warrant issued by any justice
of the peace of said county, and upon conviction, shall be
fined ten dollars for each offense, and each partridge or quail
or grouse or pheasant, or skunk or squirrel or rabbit shot
or trapped, taken or exposed for sale, shall be deemed a
separate offense under said section, one-half of said fine to
be paid to the informer, and the balance to the County Com-
missioners for the use of the school fund.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
