school law of Maryland, and which said certificate, at the
expiration of one year, upon the recommendation of any
county superintendent of public schools, under whose super-
vision the graduate may have taught for eight months, shall
become a permanent diploma, authorizing the holder thereof
to teach in any of the public schools of the State, subject to
the approval and regulation of the State Board of Education,
in the manner governing diplomas issued by the other State
Normal Schools of this State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved March 30, 1906.

CHAPTER 205.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County to levy a sum of money to be applied to
the building of a school house in the Fifth District of
Anne Arundel County, at Harmans.

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel

county are hereby authorized and directed to levy on the
assessable property of said county for the sum of fifteen
hundred dollars, for the purpose of building a school house
for white children, as hereinafter mentioned, and said sum
shall be applied by and for that purpose paid to the School
Commissioners of said county for the erection of a public
school house in the Fifth District of Anne Arundel county,
at Harmans.

Tax to be
levied.

SEC. 2. That W. Claude Shipley, Irving L. Shipley and
James E. Browne are hereby constituted a building commis-
sion for the erection of said school house.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
