ographer or shorthand reporter to take down proceedings,
including the testimony for the use of the court; and the
County Commissioners shall levy such compensation of
such stenographer or shorthand reporter as the court or
judges thereof shall approve of, or the court or judge may
require; said compensation to be taxes as part of the costs of
the cause, and to be paid by either or both of the parties to
the cause as the court or judges may deem equitable; pro-
vided, that the compensation of said stenographer or short-
hand reporter shall not exceed six dollars per diem for the
time actually employed.
28 A. In all suits and actions at law commenced between

term, as provided for and fixed by this Act; and the first
term of said court to be held under the provisions of this

from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend the Charter of the Cecil Farmers' Tele-
phone Company of Cecil County, Maryland, by increasing
its capital stock.
