payments of such requisitions, to the extent of this appro-
priation, as may from time to time be made upon him by the
said commission, said requisition to be signed by the chair-
man of the said commission and be countersigned by its
treasurer, to be accompanied by the estimate of the expenses
for which the money so drawn is to be applied.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 780.
AN ACT to prohibit the granting of licenses to sell spirituous
or fermented liquors or lager beer in the city of Baltimore
within the following limits :
Beginning at a point where Twenty-eighth street extended

westwardly would touch Jones falls, and running from this
point eastwardly along the centre line of Twenty-eighth
street as laid out, and extending said centre line eastwardly
to the centre line of Maryland avenue and thence southerly
along the centre line of said avenue to the centre line of
Twenty-fifth street; thence easterly along the centre line of
Twenty-fifth street to the centre line of Calvert street; and
thence northerly along the centre line of Calvert street, and
continuing said center line northwardly to a point three hun-
dred feet north of Merryman's lane; and thence running
parallel with Merryman's lane, and three hundred feet north-
erly from said line to the line of Cedar avenue extended ;
thence, westwardly on the south side of Cedar avenue to
Jones falls, and thence southerly along Jones falls to the
point of beginning.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That it

shall not be lawful for the liquor license commissioners, or
the clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, to issue licenses to
any persons to sell spirituous, fermented liquors or lager
beer in any part of the following districts, in all that part of
Baltimore city bounded: Beginning at a point where Twenty-
eighth street extended westwardly would touch Jones falls,
and running from this point eastwardly along the centre line
of Twenty-eighth street as laid out, and extending said centre
line eastwardly to the centre line of Calvert street; and thence
