SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, as the same was amended and re-enacted by
Chapter 123 of the Acts of 1898, be and the same is hereby
amended and re-enacted by the addition of a new section, to
come under the sub-title " Special Fund," to follow imme-
diately after Section 777 A of said Article, and to be known
and designated as Section 777 B, so as to read as follows :
777 B. The said board of police commissioners are hereby
authorized, empowered and directed to include the secretary

of the board and the assistant secretary of the board within
the provisions of Section 777 of this Article, so that they
may enjoy the same rights and privileges and benefits, sub-
ject to the same limitations and conditions as are therein
prescribed and conferred for the retiring of the members of
the police force for the said city of Baltimore; provided,
however, that the secretary shall first contribute the sum of
three hundred dollars, payable in three annual instalments
of one hundred dollars each, or all cash at his option to the
said " Special Fund " hereinbefore provided for, and the
assistant secretary to the board, the sum of one hundred
and fifty dollars, payable in the same manner.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 778,
AN ACT to prevent the killing of foxes while being chased
by hounds followed by hunters in Caroline and Carroll
counties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That it shall not be lawful for any person to shoot or
shoot at or in any manner kill any fox in Caroline and Carroll
counties while said fox is being chased by hounds followed
by hunters. Any person or persons violating the provisions
of this Act shall be fined, upon conviction, not less than ten
or more than twenty-five dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
