SECTION 1. Be it enacted Ity the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Benevolent Society of the city and county of
Baltimore, incorporated under Chapter 44 of the Acts of
1799, (November Session), of the General Assembly of

erty of all
kinds by
gifts, etc.
|
Maryland, be and the same is hereby authorized to take
property of all kinds by gift, legacy, devise or otherwise, by
any name designated for or intended for the said corpora-
tion, and that no misnomer shall render the same invalid,
provided such design or intent appears. That said corpora-
tion may take and hold property of all kinds in manner
aforesaid, whose income shall not exceed the annual sum of
twenty thousand dollars ($20,000).
SEC. 2. That the existence of said corporation is hereby

made perpetual; and this Act shall take effect from its
passage, subject to the right of the State of Maryland to
repeal, alter or amend the same at pleasure.

CHAPTER 719.
AN ACT to incorporate The Baltimore Audit Company of
Baltimore City, Maryland.
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That Charles L. Hehl, John Kuckler, Charles O. Hall,
George W. S. Musgrave and Clarence R. Evans, all of the
State of Maryland, and the subscribers to the stock of the
corporation hereby created, and their successors and assigns,
be and they are hereby created a body corporate by the
name of the The Baltimore Audit Company of Baltimore City,
Maryland, and by that name shall have perpetual succession,
and shall be competent to sue and be sued in any court of
law or equity whatsoever, to have and to use a common seal,
and to alter the same at its pleasure, and to make and adopt
a constitution and by-laws for the government of said body
corporate and its officers, agents and employes, and from
time to time amend the same; provided, such constitution,
by-laws or amendments thereto shall not conflict with the
constitution or laws of the State or of the United States; to
elect or appoint directors and officers, and generally to do,
execute and enforce all and singular such acts, contracts,
matters and things as may be necessary to carry out the
