or elsewhere, in which goods, wares or merchandise are sold
to the laborers and employes, of said company, nor to conduct
or carry on any such business or to have any interest in the
profits of the same in Garrett county, nor to sell or barter
any goods, wares and merchandise in said county, for the
use and benefit of said company or wherein it may partici-
pate in the profits of any such trade or business.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That the provisions of this Act
shall apply to Garrett county only.
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 715.
AN ACT to sanction the bequest of the General Assembly of
Maryland to the devise in the last will and testament of
James M. Lowe, late of Talbot County, deceased, to the
St. Michael's and Bay Side Methodist Protestant Churches
of the Maryland Conference.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

Sanction given
|
land, That the sanction of the General Assembly of Maryland
is hereby given to the devise and bequest in the last will and
testament of James M. Lowe, late of Talbot county, deceased,
to the St. Michael's and Bay Side Methodist Protestant
Churches of the Maryland Conference, in the sum of one
thousand dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 716.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 124 and 125 of Article 21 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title " Talbot
County," sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks,"
and to repeal Section 126 of said Article 21, as the same
was repealed and re-enacted with amendments by Chapter
584 of the Acts of 1900 of the General Assembly of Mary-
land; and to repeal Section 127 of said Article 21, as the
