cated to and accepted by said Mayor and Aldermen of Fred-
erick, all such land within two hundred feet of each side of
such street or road shall be liable to assessment and taxation.

254 A. The Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick are hereby

authorized and directed to erect or plant suitable stone or
iron markers to designate and definitely establish the lines
of the taxable limits of Frederick city, and it shall be unlaw-
ful for any person or persons to move or remove any such
marker, or to cause, aid or abet any person in doing so; and
any person violating any of the provisions of this section
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall
be fined not less than one hundred dollars nor more than
five hundred dollars, or be imprisoned in the House of Cor-
rection for a period not less than three months nor more
than two years, or be both fined and imprisoned in the
discretion of the court.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 551.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 1
of Chapter 152 of the Acts of 1904, providing for the
keeping and guarding of the public buildings and grounds
in the City of Annapolis and movable property of the
State therein.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1 of Chapter 152 of the Acts of 1904,
