WHEREAS, The said Eliza E. Baird is now incapacitated
for general work, and is past seventy years of age and with-
out income and means of earning a livelihood; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That the State Board of Education be and they are
hereby authorized to place the name of Eliza E. Baird, a
citizen of Baltimore city, on the "Retired List" provided
for in Section 53 A of Chapter 584 of the Acts of 1904, and
that the Comptroller of the Treasury pay to said Eliza E.
Baird the pension provided for in said section of said Act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 532.

AN ACT directing the County Commissioners of Kent
County, Maryland, to pay a sum of money to the Town
Commissioners of Galena, Kent County, Maryland, for the
improvement of streets of said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Kent county, Mary-
land shall, on or before the 6rst day of January, 1907, and

Galena, Kent county, Maryland, the sum of three hundred
dollars ($300.00), in addition to any money the town com-
missioners of Galena, Kent county, Maryland, may now
receive for street improvements.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
