as it is authorized to acquire at a valuation to be agreed upon
by the said board of directors and the subscriber.

CHAP. 601.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said body corporate
shall in the city of Baltimore have the right from time to
time to increase or diminish its capital stock in accordance
with the provisions of Article 23 of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Corporations," and any amendments
thereto, and it shall be entitled to the benefit of all the other
provisions and powers enumerated in said Article, and relat-
ing to corporations generally, which are not inconsistent with
the powers and limitations hereby specifically granted and
imposed.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the operations of said body
corporate shall be carried on in the State of Maryland and
elsewhere in the United States, and its principal office shall
be in the State of Maryland, and it shall be authorized to
commence operations when it has paid the bonus tax required
by law on its capital stock.

CHAPTER 602.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
657 A of Article four of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Charter,"
and relating to legislative districts, as said Section 657 A
was enacted by Chapter 8 of the Acts of 1901.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 657 A of Article four of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore,"
sub title "Charter," as the said section 657 A was enacted by
chapter 8 of the Acts of 1901, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as
follows :

Repeal
and re-enacts

657 A. The first legislative district of Baltimore city shall
be and consist of the wards as newly numbered by the Act of
1901, chapter 8, from one to six, both inclusive, as said wards
were laid out under the provisions of the Act of 1898, chapter
10, approved February 19, 1898; and the second legislative
district of Baltimore city shall be and consist of the following
wards, as newly numbered by the Act of 1901, chapter 8,
namely : seventh, eighth, ninth, twelfth, thirteenth and
fifteenth, as said wards were laid out under the provisions of
the Act of 1898 aforesaid ; and the third legislative district of
Baltimore city shall be and consist of the following wards as
