SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 493.
AN ACT to repeal Section 36 of Article 5 of the Public
Local Laws, title "Calvert County," sub-title "Birds and
Game," and re-enact the same with amendments.

CHAP. 493.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any person, not a
bona fide resident of Calvert county, to shoot or trap any part-
ridge, woodcock or rabbit in said county, without having first
obtained from the clerk of the Circuit Court for eaid county a
license permitting the person named therein, or parties pro-
curing such license, to shoot or trap in said county; he shall
pay the sum of ten ($10.00) dollars, which amount shall be
paid to the clerk of Board of School Commissioners of
said county, and fifty (50c.) cents to clerk, as per fee issuing
the said license, and any non-resident convicted before a
justice of the peace of said county for gunning without said
license shall be fined ten ($10.00) dollars for each and every
offense, and upon failure to pay said fines and cost shall be
committed to county jail for ten days; one-half of all tines
imposed hereunder shall be paid to informer, and the remainder
to Board of School Commissioners of said county for use of
public schools; provided, that nothing in this Act shall be
construed to prohibit the extension of any citizen of the county
an invitation to any non-resident friend to shoot upon the
lands of which he is owner, or upon those from whom a written
permission has been obtained so to do.

Game law.

SEC. 2. It shall not be lawful for any one to ship or attempt
to ship to any place beyond the limits of Calvert county, or to
sell to any one for the purpose of shipping to any place beyond
the limits of said county, for the purpose of sale, barter or
trade, any partridge, woodcock or rabbit, shot, taken or trapped
in said county, and for any violation of the provisions of this
section, upon conviction before a justice of the peace, shall be
fined the sum of ($10) ten dollars for each and every offense,
to be disposed of as in preceding section.
