CHAP. 401.
Preamble.
|
accurate list of the holders of the stock loans of said city on
the first day of April in the year for which said list is made,
showing the several amounts held by the said stockholders,
respectively.
"WHEREAS, By. the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1900, chapters 716 and 745, section 1, sub-title.
" Miscellaneous Expenses," the sum appropriated was one
hundred dollars for the years ending September 30, 1901, and
September 30, 1902, instead of the sum of three hundred
dollars, as made and provided by the Acts of the General
Assembly.
WHEREAS, It is proper that the Register of Baltimore city
shall receive the sum due him for the services rendered to the
State of Maryland, as made and provided by the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland ; and, therefore,

Warrant
to be Issued.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sum of four hundred dollars be and the
same is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the
treasury not otherwise appropriated to the Register of Balti-
more city, and .that the Comptroller be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the
Treasurer for said sum of four hundred dollars, and that upon
the presentation of such warrant the Treasurer be and he is
hereby directed to pay sarneout of any moneys in the treasury
not otherwise appropriated.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 492.
AN ACT to repeal Section 768 of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, as repealed and re-enacted by the Act of
1900, Chapter 533, and re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 768 of Article 4 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, as repealed and re-enacted by the Act of 1900,
Chapter 533, be and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, so as to read as follows :

Salary.
|
Section 768. Each of said matrons, and substitute matrons
when employed, shall receive a salary of twelve dollars a
week, and the superintendent of matrons a salary of fifteen
dollars a week, to be paid by the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore, and it shall be included in the annual estimate of
expenses by said Board of Police Commissioners, certified to
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore.
