CHAP. 60.

One vote for
each share.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That at all stockholders'
meetings for any purpose, each stockholder shall have one vote
for each and every share of stock held by him ; and that
stockholders may either vote in person or by written proxy.

Principal
office.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the principal office
of the said corporation shall be in Baltimore county, in the
State of Maryland.

Alter amend
or repeal.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the Legislature
may alter, amend or repeal this Act at pleasure.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That thie Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 60.
An Act to repeal Section five of an Act passed January
Session 1898, Chapter 90, entitled "An Act to incorporate
the Buckingham Industrial School of Frederick County,
Maryland," and to re-enact said Section with amendments ;
and to exempt the property of said corporation from the
payment of State taxes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section five of an Act passed January

Repeal.

Session 1898, Chapter 90, entitled "An Act to incorporate the
Buckingham Industrial School of Frederick county, Mary-
land," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as
to read as follows :
Section 5. And be it enacted, That the said corporation shall
have full power to pass all by-laws necessary to carry out the

purpose for which it was originally incorporated ; and the
said corporation shall have power to bind out the children
entrusted or committed to its care, with the consent of such
children, as apprentices, during their minority, that is to say,
until the age of twenty-one years, to such persons or corpora-
rations within this State, and to learn such proper trades or
employment as in the judgment of the managers of said
industrial school will be most conducive to the reformation
and the future benefit and advantage of such children ; and
the indentures by which said children shall be bound shall
contain the covenants, and shall be recorded as prescribed by
the Code of Public General Laws, article six ; and all the
provisions of said article six of the Code of Public General
Laws in relation to apprentices shall apply to apprentices
bound under this Act. And the said managers of said Buck-
