CHAP. 470.

County Commissioners of Prince George's county are further
authorized to sell at public or private sale any and all parcels
of real estate heretofore forfeited and sold under the provis-
ions of sections 116 G and 116 H of this Article for which the
purchaser or purchasers thereof have failed to pay the pur-
chase money, and upon payment of the whole purchase money
for any such parcel resold as aforesaid to the treasurer for the
time being, he shall execute to the purchaser thereof under
such resale a deed in fee simple thereof.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 470.

AN ACT to prohibit horses, cattle, calves, hogs, sheep and
other domestic animals from running at large or pasturing
upon the Monocacy and Urbana Turnpike Road or any of
the public roads of Frederick County, within one and one-
half miles in any direction of the public school house build-
ing in Urbana, in Urbana District, in Frederick County,
Maryland.

Unlawful to

horses, cattle,
hogs, etc ,
to run
at large, etc.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for the owner or
owners of any horses, cattle, calves, hogs, sheep or other
domestic animals, to allow them to pasture or run at large at
night time along or upon the Monocacy and Urbana turnpike
road, or upon any of the public roads of Frederick county,
Maryland, within one and one-half miles in any direction of
or from the public school house building in Urbana district,
in Frederick county, Maryland, the said animals being unat-
tended by a keeper or driver.

Penalty
for violation.

SEC. 2. That for each horse, cow, calf, hog or sheep, or other
domestic animals found running at large or pasturing upon
the said turnpike road or public roads, and between and
within the above-named limits, the owner or owners thereof
shall, when adjudged guilty of the violation of this law, pay a
fine of one ($1) dollar for each head of such live stock or
animal found at large or pasturing within the above-named
limits, and he or they shall also pay the costs of prosecution.

Justice of the
peace
may have
jurisdiction.

SEC. 3. That any justice of the peace of Frederick county
shall have jurisdiction of any violation of this Act ; any person
offending against the provisions of this Act, and being con-
victed thereof, shall pay and forfeit the fine named in this Act,
the amount of such tine to be paid to the County Commis-
