CHAP. 411.

Repeal
and re enact

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 92 of Article 17 of the Code of
'Public Local Laws, titled "Prince George's County," sub-
titled "County Commissioners," be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as
follows :

Section 92. They shall, in the month of March, 1903, and
annually thereafter, appoint a transfer clerk and auditor for
Prince George's county, who shall, subject to the control,
direction and decision of the said County Commissioners, cor-
rect and keep the assessment books of said county so that the
same will truly show the actual owner or owners of each piece
of property thereon. To this end said transfer clerk and
auditor shall diligently hunt for and ascertain the true owner
or owners of all property on said books not in their respective
name or names, also every transfer of property by deed,
decree, will, descent or otherwise, and report the same fully at
least monthly to said County Commissioners, and said transfer
clerk and auditor shall also, as soon as practicable after the
last Monday in March in each and every year, audit the
accounts of the said County Commissioners, the Treasurer of
said county and the Board of County Road Commissioners of
said county for the year preceding said last Monday in March,
and report the same, together with a full statement, of the
financial condition of the County Commissioners of Prince
George's County to said commissioners, and said report shall
be published in the newspaper haying the county printing
and be embraced in the annual contract for such printing.
The said transfer clerk and auditor shall also perform such
other and further duties as the County Commissioners of
Prince George's county may impose upon him. Before
entering upon the duties of his office said transfer clerk and
auditor shall take oath before any one of said County Com-

missioners that he will diligently and faithfully, without
partiality or prejudice, discliarge the duties of his office, and
he shall be entitled to a monthly salary of seventy-five dol-
lars ($75) until March, 1903, and thereafter he shall receive a
salary of fifty dollars per month, which said salary shall be in
full for any and all service rendered by said transfer clerk and
auditor.

Assessors to
be appointed

Section 92 A. And be it enacted, That the said County Com-
fmissioners shall, on the last Monday in March, 1902, or as
soon thereafter as is practicable, appoint one person from each
of the three road districts of Prince Geerge's county as assessor
of real and personal property located or being in said road dis-
tricts, whose duty it shall be to hunt for and ascertain any and
