construct its road upon the bed of any street or highway
within the corporated limits of any incorporated town or city
in Frederick county ; provided, that the consent and approval
of the Mayor and City Councilmen of such incorporated
towns or cities shall have been first obtained.

CH AP. 404.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the said company so
incorporated shall have the power to contract for and purchase
or lease or consolidate the whole or any part of its lines with
any other line or lines or part of lines of any other railroad
company or electric power company now authorized, con-
structed or hereafter to be constructed in Frederick county or
any adjoining county, and after the completion of the said
railroad the real and personal property of said company and
its stocks, rights, privileges, revenues, tolls and incomes shall
be subject to taxation only for the term of ten years, after
which time it shall be subject to taxation for State, county
and municipal purposes.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the said company be and
it is hereby authorized and empowered to manufacture, sell
and to furnish to individuals or corporations in Frederick
or Carroll counties, in the State of Maryland, such quantities of
electricity or electric currents as may be required or desired
and to contract for and furnish electrical or other power for
motor power, lighting streets, roads, public or private build-
ings, and for all other purposes in said counties or any towns
therein; and said corporation is hereby authorized and
empowered to purchase, lay, construct, string or build pole
lines, conductors and conduits under, along, upon or over the
road beds and streets wheresover located in said counties and
over, under and along any private property in said counties ;
or to contract for the said power with any electric company
incorporated or hereafter to be incorporated, or to buy, lease
or consolidate with any such electric power company, and
the power thus received to supply as above mentioned, and to
fix, charge, collect and receive rates and tolls therefor.

SEC 12. And be it enacted. That said company shall have
the power to cross under or over the tracks of any steam or
other railroads that are now in operation or shall hereafter be
built, or by consent of such railroad companies, if practicable,
to cross at grade with said railroads, also to cross any turnpike
road in said county or counties hereinbefore mentioned.
SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
