SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is hereby directed
to draw his warrant upon the Treasurer in favor of George B.
Flynn, for the sum of forty dollars, for services rendered as
sergeant-at-arms of the House of Delegates at the session of
the General Assembly of nineteen hundred, which services
were not paid for out of the appropriation for said session.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 389.
AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the County Gom-
missioners of Charles Cotinty, in their discretion, to levy, at
their next levy laying, a snm of money to the use of Jesse
C. B arch, paid into the Treasury of Charles County in error.

CHAP. 388.

Warrant to be
issued.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Charles county
be, and they are hereby empowered, authorized and directed,
if in their discretion they shall see fit and proper, to levy, at
their next levy laying, the sum of five dollars and seventy-five
cents to the use of Jesse C. Burch, paid by the said Jesse C
Burch and accepted in the treasury of Charles county in
error.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, This Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 390.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
four of Article seventy-six of the Code of Public General
Laws, sub-title " Publication of Laws."
Se it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That section four (4) of Article seventy-six (76) of the Code
of Public General Laws, sub-title " Publication of Laws,"
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, to read as
follows :

Repeal
and re-enact.

Section 4. Every public local law made to take effect
before the first day of June next after the session at which it
may be passed, shall immediately after its passage be pub-
lished once in each of three successive weeks in such news-
papers of the respective counties in which it may operate as
the County Commissioners of each county may direct, and in
case any such law is to operate in the city of Baltimore, then
once in each week of three successive weeks in such daily
