pany which may own and operate a line of railway propelled
by electricity or any other improved method of transportation,
connecting with and not parallel to the road of said corpora-
tion, for such period and upon such terms and conditions as
may be approved by its stockholders, and also to consolidate
with puch road or roads of railway propelled by electricity or
any other improved method of transportation as it may cross
or connect with upon such terms as may be agreed upon
between them.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That the said company be and
it is hereby authorized and empowered to manufacture any
sell and furnish such quantities of electric light and power as
may be desired for either public or private use for lighting
streets, public or private buildings in any county or munici-
pality into which or through which the said line of railway
may be constructed ; and the said corporation is hereby
authorized and empowered, with the consent of the County
Commissioners of any county, or of the officers of any munici-
pality through which its said railway may pass, or into which
it may be projected, to erect, own, construct or build lines,
conductors or conduits under, along, upon or over the streets,
highways, lanes, alleys, roads or ways whatsoever of any of
the said counties or municipalities situated as aforesaid, and
over, under and along any private property in said county,
the consent of the owner or owners thereof being first had
and obtained, for the purpose of furnishing any manufactory,
public or private buildings, lamp, structure, or other objects
in any of said counties or municipalities aforesaid, and use all
means necessary to the exercise of the power hereby granted.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the said company shall
have and enjoy all of the general powers, provisions and
privileges contained in Article 23 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, title "Corporations," the said
Article being known as the Article providing for the forma-
tion, powers and regulations of corporations, so far as the same
may not be inconsistent or in conflict with the special or
general regulations or provisions, powers, rights and advantages
conferred or intended to be conferred by this Act; provided,
that the said company shall not thereby claim any special
exemption from taxation ; and in the event of the consolida-
tion with any other railroad or railway company, as provided
by Article 23 of the Code of Public General Laws, under
provisions of section 190 of said Article, whenever eighty per
cent, of the holders of the capital stock of such corporation
have agreed to such consolidation, then if any stockholder of
either of the companies so consolidated and merged shall not
