CHAP. 869

and business, and the same to sell, grant, mortgage, lease and
dispose of at pleasure; and to execute, acknowledge and
deliver all deeds and other instruments of writing concerning
the same.
SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That the said company be and

all general laws applicable to associations of a nature similar
to that mentioned in this Act.

SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That the president, vice-presi-
dent and directors of the corporation hereby created, shall
have power to enact and adopt such rules, regulations and
by-laws for the government and management of the affairs of
said corporation as they shall deem advantageous to the
interests thereof; provided, that the same be not contrary to
the laws of the land.

Location.

SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That the home office of this
body corporate shall be located in Carroll county, in the State
of Maryland.
SEC. 17. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 370.
AN ACT to repeal Sections two hundred and thirteen, two
hundred and fifteen, two hundred and sixteen, two hundred
and eighteen, two hundred and twenty-two and two hun-
dred and twenty-five of Article twenty of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County," sub-title
"Revenues and Taxes," as the same were amended by
Chapter three hundred and eighteen of the Act of eighteen
hundred and nine,ty-six relating to the appointment of a
County Treasurer and Clerk to the County Commissioners
and Collectors of the State and County Taxes in Somerset
County, and to enact the following Sections in lieu thereof.
