CHAP. 387.

of vice and immorality within the limits of said town. The
Commissioners shall levy on or before the first Tuesday of
October annually on the -assessable property of the town a
sum sufficient for all general purposes, such taxes not to
exceed thirty cents on the $100 worth of property ; such
taxes, when levied, shall be a preferred lien upon the property
assessed, and shall be due and demandable on the first day of
January in each year after being levied.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, This Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 337.
AN ACT to grant and declare the sanction and consent of
the General Assembly of Maryland to a sale and conveyance
by Samuel J. Meesersmith and Annie F. Messersmith, his
wife, their heirs and assigns, to the Christ Methodist
Protestant Church of Baltimore City, of a certain lot of
ground in Baltimore city, in the State of Maryland, and to
the holding of said lot by the said Christ Methodist Protest-
ant Church of Baltimore City in fee simple, with full power
to dispose of same.

Sanction
and consent
given.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland be and the same are hereby declared,
given and granted to the sale and grant of a lot of ground
situated in Baltimore city, in the State of Maryland, particu-
larly described in a bond of conveyance from Samuel J.
Messersmith and Annie F. Messersmith, his wife, bearing
date the 3d day of January, 1902, and recorded among the
land records of Baltimore city in Liber R. O. No. 1937, folio
502, to the Christ Methodist Protestant Church of Baltimore
City, a body corporate duly incorporated, and to a deed in fee
simple conveying said lot from said Samuel J. Messersmith
and Annie F. Messersmith, his wife, or his, her or their heirs
and assigns, to the said Christ Methodist Protestant Church of
Baltimore City, and to the holding of said lot by said body
corporate in fee simple, with full power to sell, lease, mort-
gage or in any other way dispose of the same.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
