CHAPTER 336.

AN ACT to repeal Section 161 of Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Wicomico County," sub-title
"Sharptown," relating to election of Commissioners; also
to repeal Section 167 of Article 23 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Wicomico County," sub-title "Sharp-
town," relating to powers and duties of the Commission-
ers, as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 421 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, January Session of
1894, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

CHAP. 386.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 161 of article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Wicomico County," sub-title "Sharp-
town," relating to election of Commissioners, and section 167
of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Wicomico
County," sub-title "Sharptown," relating to powers and duties
of the Commissioners, and repealed and re-enacted by chapter
421 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, Janu-
ary Session of 1894, be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows :

Repeal
and re-enact.

161. The male citizens of said town of the age of twenty-
one years and upwards having resided therein for the space of
twelve months next preceding the first Saturday in December,
nineteen hundred and two, may on that day, at the usual place
of holding the several elections in said town, and on the first
Saturday in December in each and every year thereafter, be
authorized to elect five Commissioners for said town, who shall
have resided within the limits of the same for at least two
years next preceding the election, and the said Commissioners
so elected shall meet on the second and fourth Mondays of
each month, and as much oftener as they desire; and the said
Commissioners shall cause their clerk to publish semi-annually
an itemized statement of all receipts' and disbursements of
public funds belonging to the town of Sharptown. The
present Commissioners of the town of Sharptown shall hold
office until the next regular election herein provided and the
election and qualification of their successors.

167. The said Commissioners, or a majority of them, shall
have full power to make all such by-laws, regulations and
ordinances, not inconsistent with the laws and constitution of
this State, as from time to time they may deem wise, equitable
and expedient for the comfort, health, convenience and pros-
perity of said town and its inhabitants, for the prevention and
removal of nuisances, preservation of health and suppression
