WHEREAS, Alexander Meiner has been a policeman on the
Baltimore city force for fourteen years, and after an honorable
career on said force had to be retired on account of frosted
feet and a dog bite contracted during his service on said force
and while in the faithful performance of his duty.
WHEREAS, The above facts have been brought to the notice
and attention of this body, it is proper in the judgment of this
General Assembly that the meritorious service of the said
Alexander Miener should be recognized and rewarded ; and
WHEREAS, Said Alexander Miener is still a sufferer from
said injuries received as aforesaid ; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

CHAP 213.
Preamble.

Maryland, That the Board of Police Commissioners of
Baltimore City are hereby authorized in their discretion to
pay to the said Alexander Miener, out of the funds in their
possession, or subject to their control, a weekly pension of nine
dollars per week, payable on the last day of each week.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 8, 1902.

CHAPTER 214.
AN ACT to regulate the salary of the State's Attorney for
Talbot County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Pension
granted.

Maryland, That the State's Attorney for Talbot county shall
receive an annual salary of sixteen hundred dollars, to be paid
to him by Talbot county, in equal quarterly instalments of
four hundred dollars each, and the County Commissioners are
prohibited from voting to him any extra or additional com-
pensation on account of the performance of any duties directly
or indirectly pertaining to his office, save and except such
necessary traveling expenses as he shall incur in the trial of
cases removed from Talbot county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from and after the first day of January, in the year nineteen
hundred and four.
