CHAPTER 199.
AN ACT to amend the Charter of the American Bonding
and Trust Company of Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That chapter 252 of the Acts of 1894, entitled

CHAP. 19.

an Act to incorporate the American Banking and Trust Com-
pany of Baltimore City, as amended by chapter 41 of the
Acts of 1896, being an Act entitled an Act to repeal and
re-enact with amendments sections 2 and 7 of chapter 252 of
the Acts of 1894, entitled an Act to incorporate the American
Banking and Trust Company of Baltimore City, and as
further amended by chapter 154 of the Acts of 1900, being
an Act entitled an Act to amend the charter of the American
Bonding and Trust Company of Baltimore City, be and the
game is hereby amended by adding six additional sections to
the charter of said company, to be known as section 18,
section 19, section 20, section 21, section 22 and section 23,
respectively, and to read as follows :

Section 18. And be it further enacted, That the name of
the said body corporate is hereby changed from the "American
Bonding and Trust Company of Baltimore City " to the
"American Bonding Company of Baltimore."

Section 19. And be it further enacted, That the said body
corporate, in addition to all the powers now vested in said
company, shall have the further power to guarantee or indem-
nify any person or persons, partnership or partnerships, corpo-
ration or corporations, joint stock company or joint stock
companies, against any and all loss, damage or liability arising
from or occasioned by theft, larceny, robbery or burglary.
Section 20. And be it further enacted, That the said body

nify any person or persons, partnership or partnerships, corpo-
ration or corporations, joint stock company or joint stock
companies, for his, her, its or their use or for the use and
benefit of another or others against any and all loss, damage
or liability arising from or occasioned by any accident or acci-
dents of any nature or description to be specified by it, or by
any tort or torts of any nature or kind whatsoever that it may
specify.

Section 21. And be it further enacted, That said body cor-
porate may carry on and conduct the business of inspecting
boilers, engines and mechanical appliances and machinery of
any and all kinds, at such rates of compensation, if any, as
may be agreed upon between it and the person or persons,
