CHAP. 178.

persons or foreign or domestic corporations to apply for, to
obtain and procure, to be issued by any Court or judge
thereof or other officials, in accordance with law, certificate or
certificates authorizing such foreign or domestic corporations
to transact business in the State of Maryland or elsewhere,
and this company to be the duly accredited agent in Maryland
and elsewhere of such foreign or domestic corporations ; to
provide, to keep, to maintain, for and in behalf of and as the
agent of both foreign and domestic corporations whether
organized under the laws of the State of Maryland or other-
wise, offices, principal or otherwise, and therein to keep books
and documents, records and property of every sort and kind
of such corporation, for all purposes, including the transfer of
stock ; and for the aforesaid or any other purpose or purposes,
this corporation shall have full power and authority, the same
as a natural person, being an actual resident in the State of
Maryland or elsewhere, to act as the agent of and to represent
in Maryland and elsewhere foreign and domestic corporations,
and as such agent, and in behalf of such corporation, to do
each and everything which is now or may be permitted or
required by law ; to transfer, register and countersign certifi-
cates of stock, bonds, receipts or other evidences of indebted-
ness as the agent of such corporations, and to act as registrar
of stocks, bonds, certificates and debentures, and as transfer
agent thereof for corporations and individuals.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 179.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 494 to 504, inclusive, of Article
4 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " City of Balti-
more," sub-title "Commissioners of Pharmacy and Prac-
tical Chemistry," as enacted by the Act of 1898, Chapter
123, and to regulate the practice of Pharmacy in the State
of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections 494, 495, 496, 497, 498, 499, 500,

Repeal

501, 502, 503 and 504 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Commis-
sioners of Pharmacy and Practical Chemistry," be and the
same are hereby severally repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That no person on or
after the first day of July following the passage of this Act
