CHAP. 148.

Repeal and
re enact.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 66 of Article 48 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Inspections," sub-tide "Tree and
Fruit Inspections — The fellows," as the same was enacted by
the Acts of 1892, chapter 639, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as follows :
66. It shall be unlawful for any person to keep, or allow to

be and remain on his lands or premises, in the .State of Mary-
land, any peach, almond, apricot, nectarine or other tree
infected with the contagious disease known as the Yellows, or
to offer for sale or shipment, or to sell or ship to others any
such trees or the fruit thereof in any form ; and any person
convicted before any justice of the peace of selling or ship-
ping said trees or the fruit thereof in any form, knowing the
same to be so diseased, or after he shall have been notified
thereof by an inspector, shall be fined a sum not exceeding
ten dollars and costs, and upon failure to pay the same, shall
be confined in the county jail for a term not exceeding thirty
days.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 149.
AN ACT to repeal Article 6, Sections 116 to 134, inclusive,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Caroline County,"
sub-title "Federalsburg," and also chapter 293 of the Acts
of 1894, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

corporate.

Maryland, That the inhabitants of the town of Federalsburg,
in Caroline county, be and they are hereby constituted a body
corporate, by the name of "The Commissioners of Federals-
burg," and by that name may sue and be sued, may purchase
and hold real, personal and mixed property, and dispose of the
same for the benefit of the eaid town, and may have and use a
common seal, which may be altered at pleasure.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all property and funds of

every kind belonging to or in possession of the town of
Federalsburg are vested in the said corporation ; and said cor-
poration may recedve in trust and may control for the purposes
of such trusts, all moneys or other property which have been or
shall be bestowed upon such corporation by will, deed or in any

purpose, or in aid of the indigent and poor, or for any charitable
