CHAPTER 145.
AN ACT granting and declaring the sanction of the General
Assembly of the State of Maryland to the bequest made by
and contained in the last will and testament of Samuel L.
Binkley, late of Washington County, deceased, to the First
Baptist Church Congregation of Hagerstown, Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly "of Maryland be and the same is hereby given,
granted and declared to the bequest made by and contained
in the last will and testament of Samuel L. Binkley, late of
Washington county, deceased, of tive hundred dollars to the
First Baptist Church Congregation of Hagerstown, Maryland,
the same to be applied to the debt resting on the church of
said congregation, said will bearing date the sixth day of
February, 1901.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 8, 1902.

CHAPTER 146.

AN ACT to authorize the Treasury officials to restore to the
State Militia Fund certain moneys diverted therefrom
during the Spanish- American War.
WHEREAS, When the Maryland troops were mobilized for

service in the United States Army, during the war with
Spain, vouchers for the value of the uniforms were furnished
the U. S. Government in the sum of ($20,874.51) twenty
thousand eight hundred and seventy-four dollars and fifty-one
cents, and at the same time fourteen ovens were furnished,
valued and invoiced at four hundred and seventy dollars and
ninety cents ; and
WHEREAS, Interest to the- amount of three thousand and
fifty-two dollars and thirty-eight cents was paid from the
militia fund on a loan to the State, which should have been
paid from the emergency fund appropriated to equip the Mary-
land National Guard for such war; and
