CHAP. 106.

Grand and
petit jury
drawn.

the forty-seven jurors, and after carefully folding said ballots
separately, to place them in a box, with a sliding top, and
said clerk shall draw said ballots therefrom, one at, a time,
without looking into said box, and the first twenty-two names
drawn, with the foreman previously appointed, shall constitute
the grand jury, and the remaining twenty-five names shall con-
stitute the petit jury for said term of said Court, and the name of
no person disqualified if drawn shall invalidate the selection or
drawing, but such error when discovered may be corrected by
drawing from the appropriate box another person in place of
the person so improperly selected or drawn, and if the foreman
so selected after having been sworn should die, or for any
cause be excused by the Court, the judge or judges after
drawing another name to be placed upon the panel of grand
jurors, as provided in this section, may select and appoint any
one of the twenty-three persons constituting the grand jury
as foreman in place of the foreman so dead or excused.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 106.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 3
of Chapter 164 of the Acts of 1894, entitled "An Act to
incorporate the Maryland Trust Company."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted ty the General Assembly of

Maryland, That section 3 of chapter 164 of the Acts of 1894,
entitled "An Act to incorporate the Maryland Trust Com-
pany," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments so as to read as follows :
Section 3. And be it enacted, That the stockholders shall

on the third Thursday of January, or on such other day in
each year as may be prescribed therefor in the by-laws ; and
the said board shall elect annually, at their first meeting after
their own election, from their own number, a president, and
shall also elect or appoint, to serve during their pleasure, one
or more vice-presidents and a secretary and treasurer, and such
assistant secretaries and assistant treasurers, and all other such
officers, clerks and agents, none of whom need to be members
of the board, as the business of the company may from time
to time in the judgment of the board require ; and the board
shall also elect annually at their first meeting after each
innual election, by ballot, from among their number, a com-
mittee, to be composed of not less than five, nor more than
