CHAP. 97.

the Trustees of the Third Haven Monthly Meeting of
Friends, of Talbot County, of certain property belonging to
said meeting, located near the town of Deuton, in Caroline
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sanction and consent of said General

Assembly of Maryland be and same are hereby declared, given
and granted to the Trustees of the Third Haven Monthly
Meetings of Friends, of Talbot county, to sell, grant and
convey in fee simple to J. Edward Taylor, or to any other
religious or charitable corporation or association, the property
of the said Third Haven Monthly Meeting of Friends, located
in Caroline county, State of Maryland, and known as the Neck
meeting-house and yard, located on the north side of the road
leading from Denton to Hillsboro and one-half mile from
Denton bridge, containing one and one-half acres of land, more
or less.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 98.
AN ACT to add a new section to article eleven of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Frederick County,"
sub-title "Frederick," to follow Section 206 of said Article
eleven, and to be known as Section 206 A..
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

article eleven of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Frederick County," sub-title "Frederick," to follow
section 206 of said article eleven, and to be known as section
206 A, to read as follows :
206 A. The Mayor and Alderman of Frederick shall have

full power and authority and are hereby authorized and empow-
ered to pass all ordinances necessary for the proper regulation,
management, protection and examination of the water works
and water supply of said municipal corporation and of all
service and distribution pipes, hydrants, etc., to fix and establish
rates or charges for the use of water and for collecting and
enforcing payment of said water rents or charges.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
