registers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery county
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to pay a
sum not exceeding twenty-five dollars each to the following
registers of voters for said county for transcribing the regis-
tries of voters for said county in the year eighteen hundred
and ninety-five, to wit: To Thomas J. D. Bowie, Remus D.
Riggs, William E. Lewis, Thomas F. Thompson, W. J. Offutt,
Charles E. Higgins, Philip D. Souder, John M. C. Williams,
John E. Claggett, John W. Homer, C. S. Nichols, Robert J.
T. Richardson and James B. Jones.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 89.

AN ACT to repeal Article 65 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Militia," and all Sections and sub-sections there-
under; also to repeal Chapters fourteen, four hundred and
five, five hundred and seventy-three and six hundred and
thirty-six, of the Acts of Assembly of eighteen hundred and
ninety-two; and Chapters one hundred and thirty-six, four
hundred and thirty-six, and five hundred and eighty-seven,
of the Acts of Assembly of eighteen hundred and ninety-
four; and to re-enact said Article 65, of the Code of Public
General Laws, with amendments.

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary,
land, That Article 65 of the Code of Public General Laws-
title "Militia," and all sections and sub-sections thereunder ;
also chapters fourteen, four hundred arc. live, five hundred and
seventy-three and six hundred and thirty-six of the Acts of
Assembly of eighteen hundred and ninety-two; and chapters
one hundred and thirty-six, four hundred and thirty-six and
five hundred and eighty seven, of the Acts of Assembly of eigh-
teen hundred and ninety-four, be and the same are hereby
repealed, and article 65 of the Code of Public General Laws
is hereby re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:
