LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Repeal.

title "Crimes and Punishments," sub title "Health, Workshops
and Factories," be and the same is hereby amended by the
striking out of section 149 A, and re-enacting the same, to read
as follows :

Garments
made under
unhealthy
conditions.

149 A. If any individual or body corporate engaged in the
manufacture or sale of clothing or of any other article where-
by disease may be transmitted, shall, with reasonable means of
knowledge, by purchase, contract or otherwise, directly or in-
directly, cause or permit any garments, or such other articles
as aforesaid, to be manufactured or made up, in whole or in
part, or any work to be done thereupon within this State, and
in place or under circumstances involving danger to the public
health, the said individual or corporation, upon conviction in
any court of competent jurisdiction, shall be fined not less than
ten dollars or more than one hundred dollars for each garment
manufactured, made up or worked upon.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
Approved April 4, 1896.

CHAPTER 468.
AN ACT to change the name of "Paradise Presbyterian
Church" to that of "Catonsville Presbyterian Church."

Change of
name.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the name of the " Paradise Presbyterian Church,"
of Baltimore county, be, and the same is hereby changed to
that of " Catonsville Presbyterian Church," and by that name
it shall hereafter be known and designated, and shall be vested
with all the properties, rights, privileges, powers and duties of
the said " Paradise Presbyterian Church."

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 4, 1896.

CHAPTER 469.

AN ACT to prevent the obstruction of the public highways
in Baltimore county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
