the cross roads above Piney Grove Church.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said school houses
shall be erected under the supervision and control of the school
commissioners for said county, and the site or location for
said school houses shall be determined by said school commis-
sioners.

Supervision.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 71.

AN ACT to change the name of the Pridgeon Herndon
Shoe Company of Baltimore city, to Pridgeon Thomas
Shoe Company of Baltimore city, and to declare valid its
acts, whether done heretofore or hereafter, under either
name.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the corporate name of the Pridgeon Herndon
Shoe Company of Baltimore city, the certificate for the incor-
poration whereof is dated the ninth day of October, in the
year eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and recorded in the
office of the clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore city,
among the charter records, in Liber J. B. No. 32, folio 302,
&c., be and the same is changed to the name of the Pridgeon
Thomas Shoe Company of Baltimore city, so that such corpo-
ration shall hereafter be known by the last mentioned name ;
and all sales, conveyances or mortgages made by or to such
company, and all other acts of such corporation, whether
made or done heretofore or hereafter, shall be legal and valid,
whether such sales, conveyances, mortgages or other acts were
made or done by or for the benefit of such company, either
under the name of the Pridgeon Herndon Shoe Company of
Baltimore city, or under the name of the Pridgeon Thomas
Shoe Company of Baltimore city.

Change of
name.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 27th, 1896.
