upon between it and the parties contracting with it.

SEC. 13. And be it further enacted, That said corporation
shall be subject at all times to the provisions of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1892, chapters 109 and 279, or any amend-
ment or supplement thereto.

Effective.

SEC. 14. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 426.

AN ACT to refund to William Munnickhuysen, collector of
taxes for the third election district of Harford County, a
sum of money erroneously paid into the State Treasury.

Appropria-
tion.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller be and he is hereby directed to
issue his warrant upon the Treasurer, to pay to William Mun-
nickhuysen the sum of one hundred and four dollars and sixty-
nine cents ($104.69), being money erroneously paid into the
State treasury by him as collector of taxes for the third election
district of Harford county, for the years 1892 and 1893.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 4, 1896.

CHAPTER 427.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 40, 41 and 42 of Article 39 of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled " Fish 'and Fish-
eries," and to re-enact a portion thereof with amendments.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, Difficulty has arisen in the adoption of adequate
legislation regulating the taking of fish in the Potomac river,
in consequence of the compact existing between the States of
Maryland and Virginia, applicable to the taking of fish in the
Potomac and Pocomoke rivers; and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, It is intended that the provisions of this act shall
be made effective by the States of Virginia, West Virginia and
Maryland; therefore,
