said taxes, interest, charges and commissions; and after the
expiration of said thirty days' notice he shall forthwith pro-
ceed to seize, levy upon, advertise and sell the property of
such delinquent, or so much thereof as may be necessary to
pay said taxes, interest charges, commissions and costs of sale;
and for this purpose the sheriff is hereby clothed with all the
power possessed by collectors of taxes under the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws; and the sheriff shall report and pay over
to the treasurer before the first day of June in each year all
taxes collected by him; and he shall, at the same time, make
out and deliver to the county treasurer a complete list of all
insolvencies in said county, and when he shall have so done,
but not otherwise, the County Commissioners shall allow and
order to be paid over to him a sum of money equal to three
per centum of the aggregate amount of all taxes placed in his
bands for collection as aforesaid; and the said treasurer shall
strike from the list of taxables the names of all insolvents so,
as aforesaid, returned, and shall make his final accounting
with the State Treasurer and with the County Commissioners
on or before the Tuesday after the first Monday in June of
each year, and, after being allowed for insolvencies, close the
tax account for the previous years.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 414.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Section ten of
Chapter one hundred and eighty-three of the Acts of Assem-
bly, passed at the January session, eighteen hundred and
ninety, to be known as Section ten A, authorizing the Treas-
urer of Calvert County to pay the order of the County
Commissioners to out-door pensioners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be added to section ten of chapter
one hundred and eighty-three of the Acts of Assembly passed
at the January session, eighteen hundred and ninety, to be
known as section ten A, and to read as follows :
