payment of the interest and principal of said bonds, and
to re enact the same, with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

of the acts of eighteen hundred and ninety, entitled an act to
authorize the County Commissioners of Caroline county to aid
the Delaware and Chesapeake Railway in the construction of
the branch railroad authorized by chapter two hundred and
sixty of the acts of eighteen hundred and eighty-six, by issuing
the bonds of said county to the amount of sixty thousand dol-
lars, for the purpose of raising money to be expended in such
construction, and to levy a tax on the taxable property of said
county for the payment of the interest and principal of said
bonds, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, so as to read as follows :
2. That when and as soon as the said Delaware and Chesa-
peake railway shall have constructed that part of said branch
railroad authorized by chapter two hundred and sixty of the

acts of eighteen hundred and eighty-six, extending from a
point at or near Greensborough to Federalsburg, and shall have
commenced to operate the same; provided said road shall have
commenced to operate the same; provided said road shall have
been constructed and in operation on or before the first day of
April, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, the said County
Commissioners shall forthwith cause the whole of said bonds
to be issued and sold to the highest bidder or bidders therefor ;
provided, that no bid shall be accepted at less than the par
value thereof; and when such sale shall have been effected the
whole proceeds thereof shall be forthwith paid over by the
said County Commissioners to the treasurer of the said Dela-
ware and Chesapeake railway upon the execution and delivery
of a mortgage, as in the next section authorized and provided.

Repeal.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all the acts or parts of acts,
particularly chapter three hundred and ninety of the acts of
eighteen hundred and ninety, and chapter thirty-three of the
acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-two, and all parts thereof
that are inconsistent with the provisions of this act, are hereby
repealed.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
