LLOYD LOWNDES, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Maryland Agricultural College, a corporation

heretofore incorporated by an Act of the General Assembly of
Maryland be, and it is hereby authorized and empowered to
convey to the Columbia and Maryland Railway, a body corpo-
rate, incorporated under the laws of this State upon such terms
and conditions as may be agreed upon between the board of
trustees of said college and said railway, a piece of land situate,
lying and being in Prince George's county, State of Maryland,
and thus described, to wit: Beginning at a stone on the east
side of Superior avenue, where the property of the Maryland
Agricultural College and the subdivisions of College Park and
Lakeland meet; thence north forty-nine degrees west for 601
feet to intersect the west side of Linden avenue on a stone ;
thence north seven degrees thirty minutes west for 325 210
feet; thence north eighty-one degrees thirty minutes east along
the dividing line between lots 3 and 4, square 21, for 225 feet
to the west side of Champlain avenue'; thence along Champlain
avenue for 665 feet sontheastwardly to the east side of Supe-
rior avenue; thence south fourteen degrees sixteen minutes west
for 240 feet to place of beginning, and containing 410-100
acres, more or less, together with the right to use the water in
Paint Branch; and that said deed when executed, acknowledged
and recorded as required by the laws of this State, shall be
deemed and taken to convey to the said Columbia and Mary-
land Railway all the right, title and interest of the State of
Maryland in said described parcel of land and appurtenances.

from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 396.

AN ACT to add additional sections to Article twenty-seven
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Crimes and
Punishments," to be inserted under the sub-title "Threats
and Threatening Letters," after Section two hundred and
fifty-seven of said Article, and to be designated Sections
two hundred and fifty-seven A and two hundred and fifty-
seven B.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following sections be added to Article twenty-
