CHAPTER 390.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Governor to appoint
an additional Justice of the Peace in Elecflon District Num-
ber Eight, in Worcester County.

Additional
Justice.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Governor be, and he is hereby authorized, and
empowered to appoint an additional justice of the peace in,
and for Election district number eight, in Worcester county, in
addition to those now required by existing laws to be appointed.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 4, 1896.

CHAPTER 390 1/2.

AN ACT to add new sections to Article six of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Caroline County," sub-title "Den-
ton," providing for the issuing and sale of bonds by the
Commissioners of Denton for erecting and maintaining
water works in said town, and authorizing the said Commis-
sioners to condemn such land as may be necessary for the
building of said works.

New sections

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article six of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Caroline County," sub-title "Denton," be and the same is
hereby amended by the addition of the following sections, to
come in after section 104, and to be designated as sections 104 A,
104B, 104C, 104 D and 104 E.

104 A. That the Commissioners of Denton are hereby au-
thorized and empowered, in their discretion, to issue bonds in
the name of the Commissioners of Denton, in sums not less
than one hundred dollars, nor more than one thousand dollars,
to be signed by the president and secretary of the said com-
missioners, attested by the seal of the said Board of Commis-
sioners, to the amount of ten thousand dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, for the purpose of erecting and
maintaining water works in said town of Denton, bearing in-
terest at not more than six per centum per annum, payable
