CHAPTER 386.

AN ACT to lay out and establish a new election district in
Somerset county out of a part of Crisfield district, No. 7, to
be called "Asbury " district, or Election district, No. 12.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

said district to be known and called by the name of Asbury
district or Election district, No. 12.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the boundaries of said new

trict, No. 7, east of the following line, viz: Beginning at the
boundary of the town of Crisfield set up at Hammock's Point ;
thence by and with the line of said town in a straight line to
the boundary of said town set up near the residence of Henry
F. Jewett; thence in a straight line by and with said town line
to the Rayfield road, where the line of the said town of Cris-
field crosses said road; thence by and with said Rayfield road
to the east end thereof; thence a straight line due east to Apa's
Hole creek.

SEC. '3. And be it enacted, That the place of holding elec-

tions in said Asbury district, or election district number twelve
hereby created, shall be at or near Oysterman's Hall, on the
county road near Asbury Church; and the place of holding
elections in Cristield district, or election district number seven,
shall be on the main land within the limits of the town of
Crisfield.

Justices and
registers,

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Governor shall appoint
one justice of the peace and one register of votes for said
Asbury district, or election district number twelve, hereby
created, and one justice of the peace and one register of
voters for said Crisfield district, or election district number
seven.

Rights of
residents.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the inhabitants of the said
Asbury district, or election district number twelve, hereby
created, shall be entitled in all respects to all the rights and
privileges held or to be held or enjoyed by other election dis-
tricts in said county; and all local laws, including the pro-
hibitory liquor laws now in force in said Crisfield district, shall
remain in full force and in all respects apply to said Asbury
district, as fully to all intents and purposes, as though said
prohibitory liquor laws were enacted in terms in this act.
