CONTINGENT FUNDS.
For the contingent fund placed at the disposal of the Gov-

ernor by Article three, section thirty-two of the Constitution,
ten thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary ;
one thousand two hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may
be necessary, to be used for the salary of a stenographer and
typewriter; three hundred dollars to pay the salary of a janitor
of the House of Delegates, and six hundred dollars to pay the
salary of an assistant janitor, and keeper of water closets; for
the contingent fund of the Treasury Department, for advertis-
ing, stationery, blanks, books, expressage, telegrams and other
incidental expenses, twenty-five hundred dollars, or as much
thereof as may be necessary; for the contingent fund of the
Comptroller's office, for printing blank licenses, protest circu-
lars, warrants, books and other office expenses, three thousand
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; for the con-
tingent fund of the Land Office, six hundred dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary; for the contingent fund
of the Court of Appeals, one thousand dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary; for the contingent fund of the
Attorney-General, for printing and traveling expenses, clerical
services, stationery, postage and ether necessary expenses,
thirteen hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be neces-
sary; for the contingent fund of the Board of Public Works,
fifteen hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be neces-
sary; for the contingent fund of the State Librarian, for por-
terage, postage, freight, purchase of stationery and other inci-
dental expenses, six hundred and fifty dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary; said contingent funds to be paid
upon proper vouchers exhibited to the Comptroller.

For the augmentation of the State library, arranging same,
and furniture, one thousand dollars, or so much thereof as
may be necessary.

INSPECTIONS AND INSURANCE.

For the salaries of two inspectors of steam boilers in the city
of Baltimore, fifteen hundred dollars each, three thousand dol-
lars; for the salary of mine inspector in Allegany and Gar-
rett counties, fifteen hundred dollars; for the payment of the
annual ground rent on the tobacco warehouse lots in Baltimore
city, four hundred and forty-eight dollars and eleven cents ;
