CHAPTER 355.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to the House of
Refuge to defray the cost of introducing steam heating at
the said House of Refuge.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of five thousand dollars a year for each
of the years of eighteen hundred and ninety-six and eighteen
hundred and ninety-seven, be and the same is hereby appro-
priated to the House of Refuge (incorporated by the General
Assembly of Maryland, February, 1831,) to defray the cost of
introducing steam heating at the said House of Refuge, and
that the Treasurer of this State be and he is hereby directed,
on the warrant of the Comptroller, to pay "to the treasurer of
the said House of Refuge, the sum of tive thousand dollars
for each of the years aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 356.
AN ACT to refund to D. J. Grinsfelder & Co. a sum of
money erroneously paid into the State Treasury.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That tiie Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon the
Treasury of Maryland to pay to D. J. Grinsfelder & Co. the
sum of twenty-one dollars and forty-five cents ($21.45) trader's
license, erroneously paid by them into the Treasury of Mary-
land.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
