Appropria-
tion.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the State be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to issue his warrant on the Treasurer
of the said State requiring him to pay to the Permanent
Building Association of Harford county, aforesaid, the sum of
three hundred and seventy-five dollars ($375); to the Salisbury
Permanent Building and Loan Association of Wicomico
county, aforesaid, the sum of eighty-three dollars and thirty-
four cents ($83.34); to the Eutaw Permanent Building and
Loan Association of Baltimore city; aforesaid, the sum of one
hundred and sixty-two dollars and fifty cents ($162.50); and to
the Equitable Savings and Loan Association of Frostburg,
aforesaid, the sum of three hundred and twenty-five dollars
($325), for the bonus tax paid the State by the said building
and loan association, as aforesaid.

Effective.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 354.
AN ACT to repeal Section 214 of Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub title
"Sheriff," as enacted by Chapter 513 of the Acts of 1892,
and to re enact the same, with amendments.

Repeal.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 214 of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, as enacted by chapter 513 of the Acts of 1892, be,
and the same is, hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows :

Fees of
sheriff.
|
214. That the sheriff of Anne Arundel county shall be
allo.wed for keeping and boarding prisoners committed to the
jail of said county, the sum of thirty cents a day for each day
for each such prisoner; and the County Commissioners shall
have monthly settlements with the sheriff for the same upon
the presentation of his accounts for the same rendered upon
the affidavit of said sheriff, and the said County Commissioners
shall pay said accounts in cash money at the end of each month.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
