CHAPTER 350.
AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to issue stock of said corporation to an amount not
exceeding one million dollars, for providing a series of
conduits for telephone, telegraph, electric light and other
wires under the streets, lanes and alleys of the city of
Baltimore.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore be and
it is hereby authorized to issue the stock of the city of Balti-
more, to an amount not exceeding one million dollars, said
stock to be issued from time to time in such amounts, payable
at such time or times, and bearing such rate of interest as the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall, by ordinance, pre-
scribe; the proceeds thereof to be used to provide a series of
conduits under the streets, lanes and alleys of said city, or any
part or parts thereof, for use of telephone, telegraph, electric light
and other wires; but said stock shall not be issued unless the
ordinance, which the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is
hereby authorized to enact, shall be approved by a majority
of the votes of the legal voters of said city, cast at the time
and place to be appointed by said ordinance in a provision
for submitting the same to the legal voters of said city, as
required by section 7, Article 11 of the Constitution of
Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 351.
AN ACT to repeal Section 218 E of Article 18 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Queen Anne's County," Sub-
title "Queenstown," as enacted by Chapter 542 of Acts of
1892, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
