and the lines of the projected improvement, and also the lots

shall be the duty of the commissioners to endorse on said map
their names, with the date of its being filed in their office, and
to keep the said map where the public may have access to it,
whenever the said map may be needed for the purpose of
being shown at any meeting of the City Council or of any
committee thereof, they may, on the. written order or request
of the president of either branch of the City Council or of
the chairman of such committee, and on obtaining his receipt
therefor, allow the said map to be taken from their office for
that purpose, to be returned on the following day.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
