CHAPTER 320.
AN ACT to provide for a State subscription to Brantly's
Digest of the State of Maryland Reports.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, A new Digest of all the Maryland Reports, from
1700 to 1894, prepared by W. T. Brantly, Esquire, of the Bal-
timore Bar, is now being printed, which is to be completed in
two large volumes, bound in law sheep; and,

WHEREAS, Said digest will be required for the use of all
judges and courts of the State of Maryland and the city of
Baltimore, in the administration of justice.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land That the State Librarian be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to subscribe for fifty sets of Brantly's Maryland
Digest, at not more than ten dollars per volume, and upon the
delivery of fifty copies of each volume to the State Library,
the librarian shall issue a certificate of the receipt thereof, and
upon the presentation of such receipt, the Comptroller of the
Treasury is hereby directed to issue his warrant for the sum
of one thousand dollars, and the Treasurer shall thereupon
pay the said sum to the publisher of said digest.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Librarian shall distribute

the copies of said digest as follows; to the Court of Appeals,
two sets, for the use of that court; to the circuit courts for
the several counties and the several circuit courts of the city
of Baltimore, to the Superior Court of the City of Baltimore,
the Court of Common Pleas of that city, the Baltimore City
Court, and the Criminal Court of said city, one set each for
the use of said courts, respectively; to the Commissioner ,of
the Land Office, one set; to the Executive Chamber, one set ;
to the Library of Congress, one set; and to the Supreme Court
of the District of Columbia, one set; the remainder of said

from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Cecil

county to issue bonds of said county to build a public

school building in Elkton.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
